1992: At the grand age of 7, Lucy decided she wanted to be a journalist.
1999: Tried to establish a student magazine (with literally no idea what she was doing)
2003: Joined the UEA student newspaper Concrete as a columnist, reporter and reviewer
2007: First job as an Editorial Assistant for a B2B magazine publisher
2008: Started working in charity communications, across print publications, social media, PR, website development and event management
2010: Joined a local digital marketing agency, supporting in clients across the UK, including Tobar and ASDA
2010: Launched inNorfolk, a blog about life in Norfolk and Norwich
2011: Joined Archant Dialogue, a contract publishing agency, as an editor working on a range of titles, including Center Parcs’ Village Life, British Showjumping, AGA Living and Report magazine for the Association of Teachers and Lecturers.
2015: Moved back agency-side, working as Head of Content for two start-ups. Clients included HolidayHypermarket and CruiseDeals.co.uk.
2016: Returned in-house, working for an insurance broker in Norwich, establishing a content strategy and producing website content, blogs, enewsletters, PR, social media, magazines, literature and more.
2018: Took the leap to go freelance and set up Method Marketing. Her mission? To provide exceptional content and copywriting services to businesses in a range of sectors.
2019: Completed CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing
2020 and beyond: Full steam ahead, providing content marketing support to businesses in a range of industries, including financial services, insurance and manufacturing.
2024: The business is still going strong, and Lucy is proud to say that Method Marketing has never missed a deadline or gone over a client’s budget – and now has lots of 5-star reviews! Plus, work work begins on her new travel magazine, DINK.
